A perspective shaped by a lifetime in Africa.

Zuvani began long before it had a name.

I was born in Zimbabwe. Raised across Zambia, Rwanda and Côte d’Ivoire. A childhood measured in golden skies and sunsets I never stopped watching.

Nearly twenty years on the continent came before university, then an investment banking career in London. I never really left, I just kept going back, and each time I did, I noticed the gap a little more clearly. The Africa I knew rarely matched the one described elsewhere. Its struggles were real. So were its beauty, warmth and possibility, and that’s the fuller story I want people to see.

I’ve since travelled to more than forty countries. Nowhere else compares.

Zuvani takes its name from zuva, meaning sun or daylight in Shona, my mother tongue. A little piece of home at the heart of everything we create.

It’s how I share the Africa I know, and a different way of experiencing it.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions.

A few essentials before we begin. Every journey is personal, so if your question is not here, tell us what you are imagining.

Every bespoke journey begins with a complimentary 15-minute consultation.

After your consultation, we’ll send a written quote for our design fee before any work begins.

We’ll discuss your dates, who you’re travelling with, your budget, travel style and anything already on your wish list.

From there, we design your journey, present our recommendations and refine the itinerary with you. Once everything feels right, we move to booking and coordinate the arrangements included in your proposal.

From your first conversation through to travel, you’ll have one point of contact who understands the journey as a whole.

Almost every journey begins with a blank page.

Zuvani designs highly personalised travel across Africa, whether you’re planning a honeymoon, safari, milestone birthday, anniversary, family holiday, solo adventure, beach escape or a once-in-a-lifetime journey combining several destinations.

We can bring together exceptional stays, private guides, safari experiences, island escapes, cultural experiences, dining, wellness, celebrations, transfers and the details that turn an itinerary into a journey that feels entirely your own.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly where you want to go. Tell us what you’re imagining, how you like to travel and what matters to you, and we’ll help shape the rest.

Planning a trip well takes time. Comparing hotels, reading conflicting reviews, working out the right routing, coordinating transfers and experiences, and making sure every element fits together can quickly become overwhelming.

Zuvani takes that work off your hands. You have one dedicated point of contact who gets to know how you like to travel, what matters to you and what you want from the experience.

We help you make informed choices about where to go, where to stay, the right room category, how to structure your journey and which experiences are genuinely worth your time.

Our recommendations are shaped by first-hand experience, specialist knowledge of Africa and trusted relationships across the continent. Rather than presenting endless options, we narrow them down to the ones that make sense for you.

And once you have booked, we are still here. If plans change, a question comes up or something needs attention during your trip, you have someone who already knows your journey and can help coordinate the details.

Less time researching. Better-informed choices. A journey designed around you.

Yes. Through our preferred hotel partnerships, eligible bookings can unlock complimentary benefits and VIP recognition that may not be available through a standard online booking platform.

Depending on the property and rate, these may include complimentary breakfast, hotel, dining or spa credits, welcome gifts and personalised amenities, room upgrades, early check-in, late check-out and other property-specific privileges.

At many preferred-partner hotels, these benefits are available at the same rate as booking directly. Exact inclusions vary, so we will always make clear what is included before you book.

There is also a more personal level of service. We can share special occasions, preferences and important details directly with the hotel, helping ensure your stay is looked after as part of your wider journey.

What if I already have a premium credit card, such as American Express?

You can still use your preferred card to pay where card payment is accepted, so you do not necessarily have to choose between your card benefits and booking through Zuvani.

In many cases, you can continue earning the points or rewards associated with your card while also benefiting from Zuvani’s preferred-partner perks and personalised service.

Yes. Being open about budget from the beginning helps us design much more intelligently.

The cost of travelling in Africa varies considerably depending on destination, season, routing, property and the level of privacy or exclusivity you want.

We’ll be candid about what is realistic and, importantly, where we believe your money is best spent.

We believe the future of African tourism should create more value for Africa.

We’re building the Zuvani Impact Fund and plan to direct part of our profits to it as Zuvani grows. We’ll name our partners and share what we give once they’re confirmed.

Our ambition goes beyond simply bringing more travellers to the continent. We want to champion African businesses, work with partners rooted in the places we visit and help ensure that more of the value created through tourism remains on the continent.

Travel should leave somewhere better than it found it, and the Impact Fund is one of the ways we intend to build that principle into Zuvani from the beginning.
